Easy Copic Coloring - Cherry Blossoms Tutorial

Hey peeps.  Happy Friday.  It's my birthday weekend and my twin is here to celebrate with me.  I love the month of March not only because it's my birthday month but also it's the season when the beautiful Cherry Blossoms bloom.  When we lived in Georgia they would have this huge Cherry Blossom festival and even have a poodle with it's fur dyed pink walk around the festival as a mascot.  Too funny!

I was so excited when Technique Tuesday released a Cherry Blossom stamp set for the month of March.  So we are going to do some easy Copic coloring today.  This type of flower is very easy to color and it's such a pretty flower to use any medium with.

Here's a quick tutorial.  You can watch it here or over at my Youtube channel mzdanajoy.  I've used affiliate links for your convenience at no cost to you.

Thanks for hanging out with me today.  I'll see you back here soon.

Simple Alcohol Ink Background - Tutorial

Hey peeps.  Happy Monday.  I'm back to share a quick tutorial using some pretty alcohol inks.  You can easily make a simple alcohol ink background that will be stunning overtime as long as you pick colors that will easily blend together.  Make sure the colors you pick won't turn into mud when your done.  I usually reference my color wheel/chart or experiment with my supplies so I know exactly what colors blend well and which ones don't.

Here's the card we will be making today.  Super pretty background that works really well with a grounding piece of black cardstock.  I love using black with bright colors.  It just helps to make the color more vibrant then just adding white or another color.

Thanks for stopping by today.  I'll see you back here soon with another project and tutorial.  Have a great Monday everyone.

Technique Tuesday Faith and Easter Sale

Hey peeps.  Sorry I haven't posted in awhile.  It's been a little rough with the passing of my beloved dog and then I caught a nasty bug.  I will be back to making video and a regular posting schedule shortly.

Today I'm sharing a fabulous sale happening over at Technique Tuesday.  You can get 25% all Faith and Easter stamp set and dies until Tuesday March 13.  They have a great selection to choose from.   You can head on over to the Technique Tuesday store to pick up your goodies.  Don't forget to use the HAVE FAITH coupon code at check out.  Click on this link to start shopping. (affiliate link used at no cost to you).

For this adorable card I stamped Bailey the bunny on the front of my card and traced a circle along the upper half of her body.  Next I partially die cut her using the coordinating die cut keeping the lower part of her body connected to the front of the card.  I then used my blade knife to cut long the circle line to have an open window behind her. I opened my card and stamped her coordinating backside behind the partial die cut piece. Such a cute surprise when you open the card.

To finish off my card I added a few carrots, stamped a sentiment in rainbow colors of ink, and added some fun plaid paper.  For the inside I decided to add a soft yellow ink so when the card is closed it shows up behind the bunny.  I added my greeting and an additional carrot and a strip of that pretty plaid paper.

Next I made a few prayer tags using the Faith Opens The Door stamp set.  I love giving out little reminders to hold on to your faith.  I know prayers have worked wonders for me so I'll be giving these out to some of my friends.

I die cut out some tags and stamped on the sentiments.   I used some pretty inks to lightly sponge onto my tags and used matching bakers twin to add some bows to the tops of each tag.  To finish them off I added some glossy hearts to the bottom.  I so love how these turned out.

Have a blessed Sunday everyone and I'll see you back here soon!

When It's Time To Say Goodbye But You're Not Ready

It's been a rough few days in the Joy household.  Our sweet baby dog Missy had to be released from her pain Wednesday and I was not ready to let her go.  We had our Missy Girl since she was two months old and she was such an amazing family member to us for 15 years.  She gave us so much happiness and joy to fill us for a life time.  I will miss her tipping along our floors and being my little shadow where ever I went.  She was my coffee and donut companion during my morning drive by through Dunkin Donuts.

I know that she is no longer suffering and is waiting for us to meet again. It's truly hard to not wake up and see her wagging her little tag waiting for her breakfast and a good morning snuggle.

Rest in peace my Missy Girl.  I'll see you on the Rainbow bridge.  We love and miss you.  Thank you for being the best little doggy our family could ever ask for.

Sorry for the non-crafty post today.  I'll be back next week with a video and card.
